My Work (In Pictures)
My art captures the essence of life from different cultural viewpoints. I achieve this by using materials from the environment of the inspiring culture.
I celebrate the human form through portraiture, busts, full body, life and monumental sizes.
I invite my audiences to vicariously re-live dynamic events. This is only possible by capturing all of the subtle intricacies of movements … but in a single pose. It comes from close observation of the human form and tuning in to intense emotions of the moment.
Art reflects everything around us!
I remain true to this idea with an ‘avant-garde’ approach to my use of materials. Specifically, I experiment with the materials from different parts of the world that include volcanic sand (from Martinique), limestone (from Barbados), rusting galvanize (from ocean-beaten island coasts) and machinery (from factories in their twilight days).
